Hi readers. Today, I don't want to talk about any topic or situation or feeling but a word. Any guesses?
Okay, I'll give you a hint. It's one of the three magical words taught in school. I'm sure many of you would have guessed it by now.

Yes, it's none other than the widely recognized 5-letter word "SORRY." But now imagine, how writing about this word came to my mind?

I'll be honest with you, I just read a quote that touched my heart, right at the moment. "Sorry is not just a word, it's a weapon to save relationships." So now you tell me, do you really agree with this? (Answers awaited in the comments section.)

As far as my opinion goes, I strongly accord with this statement. 'Sorry' has been termed as a magical word for plenty of reasons. It possesses the power to melt down any hurt or pain caused by someone. It furthermore has the capacity to bring solace to the anger bottled up inside you. Not only does sorry has the energy to push you to accept your mistake and apologise, but it also has the potential to create hope, that may be, just may be, things can be set right. In essence, SORRY has the ability to mend what once went wrong.

Trust me when I say this, because I can vouch that the word 'Sorry' genuinely has the strength to safeguard relationships that have suffered from misunderstandings, ego, communication gaps, differences in expectations, or any other reasons that resonate with your situation or experiences.

Still don't believe me? Let's try this. I hope—or you may consider it a request—call or text someone, anyone you think you owe a sorry to. No matter how long your apology has been pending, try initiating it today itself. Not tomorrow, not the day after—today, as in right now. And then tell me whether or not it helped.

I assure you, even if the person doesn't forgive you or respond, they will definitely feel better, and so will you. You'll feel instant relief—yes, you will. The deep down, long hidden burden that you've been carrying inside you will begin to vanish. Things will become so much easier. It's only about a start from your end. If they aren't initiating contact (just in case you're waiting them to), why not you?

So, take the first step today and apologize to someone you've been meaning to. You never know the power it might hold in mending your relationship and healing hearts. Share your experiences with the power of sorry in the comments below.

Remember: Sorry is not merely a word; it's a lifesaver. Don't trust me? "เค–ुเคฆ เค‡เคธ्เคคिเคฎाเคฒ เค•เคฐे เคซिเคฐ เคตिเคถ्เคตाเคธ เค•เคฐे" (Khud istimal kre, fir vishwas kre)

  8. That's a thoughtful piece on the significance of the word "sorry." It indeed has a remarkable impact on relationships and personal well-being. Apologizing can be challenging but immensely rewarding, and your encouragement to take that step can inspire many to heal and rebuild connections. The quote you mentioned beautifully encapsulates the essence of "sorry" as a tool for reconciliation and understanding.

  10. I think sorry works for transactional stuff, i mean it doesn’t work in long relationships after some tenure because you use this word so many times that it loses its meaning after a certain period. It gives you momentary relief only. However it’s still a powerful weapon and will continue remaining so.

  11. You’ve touched on an interesting point. The word “sorry” can indeed carry a lot of weight and significance. When used sincerely, it can mend relationships and show genuine remorse. However, as you mentioned, overuse or insincere apologies can dilute its impact and make it feel less meaningful.

Do you think there’s a way to restore the true essence of the word “sorry”?
    It's a very deep word

  20. Firstly, I would like to appreciate the insightful words you have put to together to share your opinion on something as trivial topic as sorry but at the same time I agree with your notion. Just sorry becomes beautiful and meaningful with changed behaviour is indeed life saviour ❤️

  21. Sorry indeed is a powerful word, but merely saying sorry doesn't fix anything. You need to show the person whom you've caused loss by your words or actions, that this same wouldn't be repeated again. Sorry can start or help sooth the conversation. But the after delivery of words and feelings will pave the way to fix the broken pieces of relationship. That's what I believe in. But again, a beautiful piece by you๐Ÿ’—๐Ÿ’•
